American Bar Association Opens New 61,000 Square Foot National Headquarters at Washington Square
Washington, D.C., May 20, 2013 - Lerner Enterprises, one of Washington, D.C.’s largest private real estate developers, and The Tower Companies, the largest Green Builders in the nation’s capital, both of Rockville, Maryland, announced today that the American Bar Association (ABA) will be opening their new 61,000 square foot national headquarters within Washington Square, located at 1050 Connecticut Avenue at L Street, NW, on May 20, 2013. Washington Square (WashingtonSquareDC.com) was originally developed by Lerner and Tower in 1982 and recently completed a major $14 million dollar common area renovation.
The American Bar Association (AmericanBar.org) is the largest voluntary professional association in the world. With nearly 400,000 members, the ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system for the public.
The ABA was represented by Arthur G. Greenberg, John J. Goodman and Bie Chu Lee of the Washington, D.C. office of Studley and Washington Square was represented by Brian F. Tucker and Brian R. Raher of Cushman and Wakefield.
