Award-Winning Residence Inn - Dulles Airport @ Dulles 28 Centre Adding 28 Suites and Gatehouse Expansion

Dulles, Virginia, February 10, 2014 - Lerner Enterprises, one of Washington, D.C.’s largest private real estate developers, and The Tower Companies, the largest Green Builders in the nation’s capital, both of Rockville, Maryland, will be adding approximately 28 new hotel guest suites to the award-winning Residence Inn - Dulles Airport @ Dulles 28 Centre. The expansion and construction is projected to begin in the second quarter of 2014. Once complete, the hotel will have a total of 179 suites.

“Demand at the Residence Inn - Dulles Airport @ Dulles 28 Centre has been tremendous due to its prime location three miles from Washington Dulles International Airport, proximity to corporate neighbors such as Raytheon, AOL, Orbital Sciences and its neighboring retail including Wegmans, DSW, Target, Eastern Mountain Sports, Ulta, Petco, and 30 specialty shops and restaurants located at Dulles 28 Retail Centre,” stated Mark D. Lerner, a principal of Lerner and co-developer of the Residence Inn. “Demand for high quality hotels in great locations such as ours is expected to continue and we will capitalize on the opportunity with the expansion,” he added.

The hotel’s expansion will add a new four-story wing and will incorporate the newest generation of Marriott® rooms. The hotel will enhance its outdoor dining and entertainment areas with the addition of a new exterior fireplace and additional seating. Gordon & Greenberg Architecture of Cabin John, Maryland, the original architects of the hotel, designed the expansion. P3 Design Collective of McLean, Virginia is providing interior design services.
The Residence Inn - Dulles Airport @ Dulles 28 Centre opened in 2005 and has received many awards and accolades including multiple Platinum Level Achievement Awards in Overall Guest Satisfaction and other management awards received from Marriott®. Hotel amenities include an indoor pool, a fitness center, billiard room, and a library. Dulles 28 Centre, is located at the confluence of Virginia Routes 28 and 625 (Waxpool Road) and is co-development of Lerner and The Tower Companies.
